Amina Frances grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, reading many of her early stories to her extremely patient siblings and pet dogs. She writes about race, mental health and belonging—sometimes separately, usually all at once. Her work has been featured in X-R-A-Y Literary Magazine and PANK. She now lives in Switzerland with her husband, Matthew.

She is currently working on her first novel.
